Edge LED Light Fixture Frequently Asked Questions
My lights did not turn on at the programmed time.
  • Verify that the time on the clock is correct. Note the timer is in a 12hr format.
  • Verify the start and stop times programmed into the timer.
  • Is the #1, #2 or Moonlight icon displayed? Do you have the sunrise/sunset period setup in the timer?
  • The sunrise/sunset feature will begin at the start time and depending on the setting could take up to 2 hours to reach full potential.
Why did my lights not turn off at the programmed time?
  • The lights on the Edge will turn off at the set time, plus the length of time programmed into the sunrise/sunset period in the timer.

Is my Edge dimmable?
  • Only with the built in timer can you ramp up and down the intensity of the Channels using the sunrise/sunset feature. An external dimmer is not compatible with the Edge fixture.
Can I suspend the fixture?
  • The Edge does not have suspension mount options.
Can the Edge be mounted to the light fixture hangers?
  • No
Why is my display not lit?
  • Check the indicator light on the power supply
  • Is there water inside the fixture?

My LED's are dim and not as bright as before.
  • Check the glass cover over the aquarium to make sure it’s clean.
  • Is the acrylic cover on the Edge fixture clean?
  • You may need a new power supply.
Why does my timer flash and it scrolls through the numbers continuously?
  • Your timer has reset and needs to be programmed. Hold down Triangle Icon and  Square Icon to program the timer.

Is my Halo dimmable?
  • The Deluxe Halo is not dimmable using an external dimmer. It will use the built-in controller to create the controllable light cycle for the aquarium. The Basic Halo is dimmable with 0-10V dimming controllers. We have successfully tested the dimming functions with the Digital Aquatics Archon and Neptune Aquatics Apex controllers.
Can I suspend the fixture?
  • The Halo can be suspended with the two included clips on the top of the housing.
Can the Halo be mounted to the light fixture hangers?
  • No, but the Halo has its own mounting arms available specifically for the Halo, and sold separately.

  • You may need a new power supply.
My Basic Halo unit moonlights will not turn on, but my Deluxe unit does?
  • Adjust your power intensity on the Deluxe unit. There can be a 1% difference in the power control between the Deluxe and Basic - when working with only a few % points of power this could be the cause.
